One of the many problems that emerged during the pandemic is that some people have lost trust in science, medicine, and sometimes even doctors themselves. Some believe that doctors and scientists are complicit in a "grand conspiracy" orchestrated by pharmaceutical companies (or insurance companies). Many people are deeply sceptical of vaccines and medical treatments. Others self-diagnose using information they find on the internet and question their doctor's advice. These are difficult times to be a doctor.
