It’s inspired by a study on a very rare form of lymphoma called Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (PCNSL). Patients are usually diagnosed with this disease through a tissue biopsy (usually from the brain), but this study used a different test involving the measurement of several biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid samples from patients with suspected PCNSL, collected via lumbar puncture.
