An international multidisciplinary expert panel aim to standardise best practices of microbiome testing for clinical use and have set out 35 recommendations on general principles and minimum requirements for microbiome home testing use, pre-testing protocols, methodology of analyses, reporting of results, and on their potential clinical value.
